MU's PEKANBUKU SHUTTING DOWN

I wrote about this before, about two years ago. Pekanbuku is still in the process of shutting down. But a new university book shop is opening up right next door - under new management.  So it is not a shutdown. Its actually relocation - under a new franchise holder ?? 

Meantime they are having a 'closing shop' sale with discounts up to 60% off. Better hurry. PekanBuku is at MU's campus in Pantai (Bangsar lah).

Anyway I have been catching up on my book reading. Here are three books that I now have on my table, bedside, living room and elsewhere. 

The first is this, 'Military Vehicles'  a pocket manual on military vehicles (mostly AFVs, IFVs and APCs = Armoured Fighting Vehicles, Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Armored Personnel Carriers and self propelled artillery). Its printed on high quality glossy plates. I got it for RM12.00 !!  Hard to believe it.

It was published in 2003 and they dont include the well rated Singaporean Bronco tracked vehicle or the Singaporean Bionics 6x6.  Its a good reference manual anyway.

The second book is this 'The Civil War Up Close' which is a history as well as a book of historical trivia about the American Civil War.  Plenty of illustrations and old black and whites.  About RM22.00.  Very, very cheap.

Finally, here is a really interesting book. I bought this online from Amazon.com, a little pricey but its a must read for me. 

It is titled 'Inside The Muslim Brotherhood' but it is actually  an "authorised biography"  of Youssef Nada who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood aka The Ikhwan Muslimin, a Made-In-Egypt bunch of childish nuts who are now approaching senility and getting a crack at a second childhood. 

These are very dangerous folks.

Youssef Nada was also known to the Americans as 'Al Qaeda's Banker'.   This was on account of his role as the Muslim Brotherhood's banker and finance manager. The Muslim Brotherhood operates not only in Egypt but also in Syria, Tunisia, Gaza,  Jordan, Qatar and other countries. Qatar is a colony of the Brotherhood and so in Jordan.

Ayman Al Zawahiri the present leader of the Al Qaeda and Abu Bakar Baghdadi the ISIS chief were members of the Muslim Brotherhood at some point in their lives. 

In 2011 after Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire, it was the Muslim Brotherhood which organised the street mobs that sparked the Arab Spring in Tunisia, Egypt and the Arab world.

• This 'authorised biography' of Youssef Nada of the Muslim Brotherhood was written in early 2012.  
• At that time the Muslim Brotherhood was on the verge of taking power in Egypt.  
• The Muslim Brotherhood's candidate Mohamed Morsi was sworn in as the President of Egypt in June 2012.

So this 'authorised biography'  was a carefully crafted 'white wash' to prove to the world that the Muslim Brotherhood were normal, regular and ordinary good guys.  WRONG. 

Immediately after the Brotherhood took power in Egypt,  the leopard began to show its spots again. They clamped down on the Media, journalists who criticised the Brotherhood were jailed,  women were "encouraged" to wear the hijab and "religious enforcement"  was beginning to get organised in Egyptian villages. They did not know anything about reviving the economy. Exactly a year later by July 2013 the people of Egypt got fed up with them and overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood.  Mohamed Morsi has since been jailed. 

Since this is an 'authorised biography' of Youssef Nada there are some pictures from  his life and history. Including this interesting  picture below here. This picture was taken 23 years ago in 1995. 

The caption says " With Anwar Ibrahim and the Malaysian opposition leader's family in 1995. In 2012 Anwar Ibrahim was consulting Youssef Nada about an upcoming Malaysian Spring".

Recall the Muslim Brotherhood came to power in Egypt in 2012. This book was also written in 2012. So in 2012, Brader Anwar Bin Ibrahim was still consulting with the Muslim Brotherhood.  Isnt that "foreign influence" in our internal affairs?

And what was he consulting them about?  A 'Malaysian Spring' ??  

The Arab Spring that was sparked off in Tunisia, Egypt and Syria all became Muslim Brotherhood power plays - to establish their version of a theocracy (I WILL NOT CALL IT ISLAM ok).

Malaysian Spring?  In 2012?? A leopard never changes its spots. A chameleon can. 

Until today, the Muslim Brotherhood has its ideological outposts in Malaysia. This includes AB_M and the now defunct J_maah Islah Malaysia. They have changed name and become something else. But the braders are still lurking in the shadows.
